Lockout

32 on Comfort 96 — the only PS

If this door card lists 32, it is the same single draft switch as 31 — not 59TP6 low-fire and not a missing high-fire hose. One switch, one hose.

First check

1 Prove the high-fire call

Write the live Carrier 59CU5 code before you pull power. Confirm this IFC is actually commanded to high — W2 at the board, or the staging timer has expired. Count hoses. One = this chart. Two = you are on a TP6/TN6, not SC5.

Expect: R to W2 ~24 VAC (conventional) or a high-stage request on a communicating stat.

If fail: No high request → thermostat / staging / menu. Not a high-fire pressure switch.

If pass: Go to step 2. Do not jump the high-fire switch to ‘see if it runs.’

On the plates

  • Low-fire hose only. Intake termination. Attic PVC slope back to the collector.
  • Do not confuse a live 3 1.6 CFM readout with 32.
  • Count hoses. One = this chart. Two = you are on a TP6/TN6, not SC5.
  • Trap, collector, PVC. Same physics as 31.
  • Do not order a ‘low-fire’ switch for a cabinet that never had a second solenoid.
  • Count transducers/hoses. No second PS to ohm as ‘low.’
  • If you truly have two discrete switches, load 59TN6.
  • If you have a model plug and a 24V stat, load 59TP6.
