FieldBench

Terms of Service

Effective date: August 20, 2026

Who we are

FieldBench (“FieldBench,” “we,” “us”) is operated by FieldBench LLC, an Illinois limited liability company. FieldBench is an independent reference and diagnostic tool for HVAC field technicians. We are not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Goodman, Amana, Daikin, Carrier, Bryant, or any equipment manufacturer referenced on this site.

These Terms of Service (“Terms”) are an agreement between you and FieldBench (“FieldBench,” “we,” “us”) for the website and field-reference application at fieldbench.ai (the “Service”). By creating an account, starting a trial, or using the Service, you agree to these Terms.

What FieldBench is

FieldBench provides model-number lookup, board cross-reference, wiring guidance, warranty-bulletin summaries, and diagnostic tools built from publicly available specifications and independently authored field notes. FieldBench does not host, reproduce, or distribute manufacturer service manuals, wiring diagrams, or other copyrighted OEM documents. Where original manufacturer documentation is useful, we link out to the manufacturer’s own site.

Accounts

You sign in with a third-party account (Google or X). You’re responsible for keeping that account secure and for all activity under your FieldBench account. One active session per account at a time. You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to create an account.

Subscription, billing, and free trial

Paid access to FieldBench’s diagnostic tools (Diagnose, Jobs, and related features) is offered as an annual subscription at $24/year. New subscribers receive a 1-day free trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your card will be charged $24 for the first year, and the subscription will automatically renew each year at the then-current price unless you cancel. You can cancel any time from your Account page with one click — no phone call, no email required. Canceling during the free trial means you are never charged. Canceling after a charge stops future renewals; we don’t prorate or refund the current paid period except as described in our Refund Policy below. We’ll email you before your trial converts to a paid subscription, and before each annual renewal, with the amount that will be charged and how to cancel. If we ever change the subscription price, we’ll notify you at least 30 days before the new price takes effect, with the option to cancel before it applies.

Free content

Model reference charts, board cross-references, and manufacturer link directories are free to browse and do not require an account.

Acceptable use

Don’t scrape, resell, or redistribute FieldBench’s content in bulk; don’t attempt to circumvent the one-device-per-account limit to share a single paid seat across multiple users; don’t use FieldBench to violate any manufacturer’s terms of service when following outbound links.

Disclaimer

FieldBench is a reference tool, not a substitute for manufacturer documentation, licensed engineering judgment, or code compliance review. Always verify against the equipment nameplate, current manufacturer literature, and applicable local code before performing electrical or gas work. FieldBench is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for equipment damage, injury, or code violations arising from use of information on this site.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.

Changes

We may update these terms; material changes will be posted here with a new effective date, and for subscribers, communicated by email.
