First check
1 Measure at the IFC under load
On Goodman GMVC80 line-voltage codes are incoming power. Measure L1/L2 (or L1/N) at the board while it is trying to run, not just at the disconnect. Furnace switch, breaker, and blower-door switch fully made.
Expect: Voltage in the rating-plate window under load.

On the plates
- L1/N at the IFC, door switch, incoming 120 VAC under load.
- Transformer 24 VAC secondary. Internal IFC failure only after line power is proven.
- Do not chase a data pair because an older note called EE ‘bus.’ On this chart EE is power/internal.
- Furnace switch, breaker, and blower-door switch fully made.
- 115 VAC at L1/N on the IFC.
- Do not confuse EE on this board with a comms complaint — check the data pair separately if the stat is dark and the IFC is alive.
- Switch, breaker, door switch. 115 VAC at L1/N.
- If the IFC is alive and the stat is dark, that is the data pair — not EE.
